There were some pretty cool cars at the 2017 Detroit Motor Show, but they all paled in comparison with the best concept cars showcased at the motor show. These concept cars are bold and amazingly designed. You will appreciate their design and the futuristic approach made by these companies.
Cars and concepts have always been the highlight of motor shows all over the world and the 2017 Detroit motor show was not any different. There were four concept cars that made their debut at the 2017 Detroit motor show and one car that brought it magic to Detroit after stunning the crowd at the Paris Motor show.
You might think that finding the best concept cars is very difficult, but when you only have five concept cars and they are brilliant, it becomes easier for you to judge and appreciate them for their futuristic beauty.
Here are the concept cars showcased at the 2017 Detroit Motor Show.
Nissan V-Motion 2.0 – One of the Best Concept Cars at Detroit Motor Show
This pretty electric sedan excited the crowd with its amazing V-Motion design. With its sharp angles and straight lines, this is the perfect example of how a modern vehicle can be beautiful and imposing at the same time. This is the perfect example of how the beloved Nissan Maxima can look in the future. As you may have noticed, the front grille of the Nissan V-Motion 2.0 shows cases the iconic Nissan grille, but it is even better.
The grille almost covers the whole front of the car. It is big and it is the first thing you will notice. The aggressive front grille is flanked by bigger and prominent air intakes. Nissan V-Motion 2.0 is shorter and wider than the current production models by the company. With its floating roof and its copper infused silver paint that change color, this electric sedan is a stunner.
Who knew suicide doors could look so good? With the technology in the cabin to back up the perfectly sculpted body, we can expect the future production models of Nissan will have some of the best features (hopefully all) of the Nissan V-Motion 2.0.
Volkswagen ID Buzz Concept
We all remember the microbus by Volkswagen in the 1960s and 1970s. This microbus can easily carry 8 people and none of them have to hold the steering wheel. This dynamic and very diverse Volkswagen ID Buzz Concept is an all-electric vehicle that has finally re-won the hearts of the crowd.
The Buzz will have 270 miles of driving range, will have two motors and 369 horsepower. If it is ever produced, it will be a rear wheel drive. What really stands it out from the rest is the fact that it has a touch sensitive steering wheel. When no one is using it, the steering wheel retracts inside the dashboard to give you more space. If the Volkswagen ID Buzz Concept ever makes it to the production line, this could be the start of diverse autonomous vehicles.
Infiniti QX50 Concept Cross
Many are calling Infiniti QX50 the most beautiful crossover SUV ever. The design of the new vehicle is very swoopy and curvy, the grille is big and the best part is that almost 90% of the design of the crossover will be incorporated in the production model of the Infiniti QX50.
This is almost production ready. It has a 2.0 liter V4 engine that will produce an estimate of 268 horsepower and 288 lb-ft of torque. This is an all-wheel drive. No further details have been announced yet, but it is hoped that they will be released soon.
Lexus UX Concept
This is yet another crossover SUV that can seat 4 people very comfortably. With the iconic front grille with the amazing new design, the Lexus UX makes the perfect off-roader that you can enjoy with your family. It has low ground clearance, coupe like driving position and a very imposing stance, this crossover looks very well made.
The previously announced Lexus LC concept is all set for the production line and it is expected that the Lexus UX will reach the production lineup soon. Car enthusiasts have their fingers crossed to see a production model on Lexus UX soon.
It made its debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. No more information has been revealed including the interior and the engine specifications, but one can truly hope that Lexus will bring something really great and innovative with this smallest SUV by the manufacturer.
Audi Q8 Concept
The Audi Q8 Concept is going to be the new flagship SUV by the German brand that lives to wow our senses with their amazing designs and even better performance. Although this is just a concept, but Audi officials have announced that this is a close to perfect preview of a full size SUV they are currently making. This is a big, hulking SUV that will bring you a lot of space and leg room.
It will feature a 3.0 liter Turbo engine that is capable of producing 443 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. The engine will be paired with a 100 kW electric motor and 17.9 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack. It looks good and by these specifications, we can tell that it will work great as well. Now all we have to do is wait for the production model to reach us!
